Academic Writing Samples

These are some of the academic papers I most enjoyed writing  in a range of subjects. I wrote first Political Science paper for a course that focused on controversial Supreme Court cases throughout history. In this paper,  I analyze the expansion of the Substantive Due Process Clause under Roe v. Wade, and the insufficient protection of the Undue Burden Standard set in Planned Parenthood v. Casey. I wrote the second Political Science paper for a course that involved analyzing the intersections of law, culture and identity. For this paper, I analyze the theoretical perspective of "honor and dignity-based societies" in the context of the The Sopranos and the film Unforgiven. In my Sociology paper, I discuss rape culture from a sociological standpoint in order to understand the social norms that perpetuate such behavior. In the third Political Science paper, I wrote a social science research paper conerning alliances and instability. Finally, for an argumentative English course, I wrote a research paper detailing the negative health and economic affects of solitary confinement. Click the image to view.
