 Trusted Media Brands, Inc. New York, NY

  • Wrote over twenty pieces of original content for RD.com on a variety of topics while adhering to strict, fast-paced deadlines, including one article that was picked up for the November print issue, and one story that received 70k page views and became the site’s second most trafficked piece upon being posted

  • Built print content onto the website using the company’s Content Management System (CMS), editing and adding to the pieces to make them social friendly and more relevant for a digital audience

  • Created unique content using keyword phrases to increase Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

  • Compiled and vetted “true stories” sent in by readers for a feature in the print version of Reader’s Digest

  • Regularly pitched ideas for online content to the Executive Digital Directors

  • Developed a consistent, social media strategy in a monthly social media calendar, which improved Library For All’s brand awareness and increased their reach on Facebook by 49% and reach on Twitter by 20%

  • Wrote and edited informational pamphlets and instructions for potential new voters to increase the number of voters registered through the Planned Parenthood voter registration drive

  • Created instructional documents and example dialogue for voter registration volunteers to unsure volunteers were knowledgeable, engaging, and reliable resources to new voters

  • Trained voter registration volunteers through instructional documents

  • Researched voter registration laws in order to publish up to date voter eligibility standards
