About Me
I am a Political Science major and Writing minor at the University of Michigan. I am an avid reader, writer and traveler. The pieces you'll find in this portfololio are some of the work I feel represent who I am as a writer - including projects from the minor, journalistic pieces from the column I write in SHEI magazine, articles I have written for Reader's Digest, as well as academic papers.
Writing and social change are for me, inextricably tied. Political Science has given me an avenue to explore the implications of landmark courtcases, delve into political theories, and analzye the origins and outcomes of global conflicts. With these skills, I hope to create writing that shifts thought in some way. I believe that everyone has a story, and that these human narratives can connect us to larger social issues no matter how large or far away.
