  • Consulted with peers on many forms of written communication including admissions essays, creative writing, and academic papers across disciplines and at all stages of the writing process in order to help students solve writing challenges and support effective writing processes

  • Tutored undergraduate writers of all skill levels, including ESL students which improved my communication skills, ability to work collaboratively and engage in rigorous thinking

Editorial Intern and Freelance Writer Summer 2016 - Present

 Trusted Media Brands, Inc. New York, NY

  • Wrote over twenty pieces of original content for RD.com on a variety of topics while adhering to strict deadlines, including one article that was picked up for the November print issue, as well as one story that became the site’s second most trafficked piece upon being posted.

  • Built print content onto the website using the company’s Content Management System (CMS), editing and adding to the pieces to make them social friendly and more relevant for a digital audience.

  • Created unique content using keyword phrases to increase Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
